Handing Assistance of 151 Units Kubota Hand Tractor in Mappalili Ceremony

In Pangkep District, South Sulawesi there is a traditional ceremony to mark the beginning of the growing season, this ceremony is called Mappalili. The ceremony was divided into several processions. On the first day of a series of events beginning with “Atteddu Arajang” or awaken the magic power plowing tools . Continued on the second day of the event “Arajang Ri’lau” or plowman paraded around the village accompanied by traditional music and traditional stakeholders who wear traditional dresses. And the top event on the third day was “Majjori” or start plowing.

Mappalili ceremony was held on November 12 in Pangkep District, South Sulawesi. And on that that occasion, was also taken handover of assistance that is 151 units of hand tractors with Kubota diesel engine to the farmer groups. The event was attended by the Governor of South Sulawesi Mr. Syahrul Yasin Limpo and accompanied Regent of Pangkep Mr. Syamsuddin A. Hamid Batara.

Before Mappalili ceremony was held, the previous day was held an events that called Kubota Hand Tractors Parade, followed by about 500 people take a distance of about 4 km starting from the Alsintan Bungoro District Warehouse towards to Bambu Runcing Monument, where Mappalili ceremony was held. The event was continued with the handover assistance of Kubota hand tractors from the Pangkep District budgets in 2012.

With the assistance of Kubota hand tractors are expected to help the farmers in cultivating the land in the Pangkep district and could increase.the crop productivity.
